Top 10 Suffolk Garden Centre Websites

A rapidly growing and predominantly green list..

Suffolk is renowned for it’s green fields and big skies. It is also rightly lauded for it’s award winning gardens.

Fortunately for the green-fingered in the county, Suffolk has an abundance of garden centres and nurseries to cater for every horticultural whim and fancy.

Using our unique audit system, we raked through the net in search of the best Suffolk Garden Centre websites and below is our top ten.

This list is not a reflection on the businesses themselves, just our observations on the quality of the websites in the garden centre category. That said, we have always found that a great website normally reflects a great business.

If you think we have missed anybody, please let us know and we will assess them next time we revisit this category.

Our scoring system

We compiled this list of Top 10 Suffolk Garden Centre Websites using our Digital Audit Snapshot system where we rate each website in ten key areas. Feel free to ask us to rate your website!

1. Evergreens - Beccles

73 / 100

Congratulations to Evergreens, our Number One Garden Centre website in Suffolk.

Good social and a solid code-base are the stand-out features on a site that is easy to navigate for the user.

A more modern design and a blog would have pushed their score even higher.

2. Reads Nursery - Bungay

71 / 100

In second place is Reads Nursery from Bungay. A lovely design with good social are the major plus points on this site.

3. Wottens Plants - Halesworth

70 / 100

A good spread of social helps this site score well, though like a lot of sites in this category, the design perhaps needs updating.

4. Three Willows - Bungay

70 / 100

Another Bungay website makes our list, with a nice clear responsive design and very clear contact details. A blog and some social would have pushed it near the top.

5. Bypass Nurseries - Capel St Mary

70 / 100

Good Facebook and Twitter and an updated blog with solid content are the standout areas on this site. The design could do with a refresh though.

6. Laurel Farm - Ipswich

67 / 100

A nice design is the high-point but the lack of blog, content and social needs addressing.

7. Place For Plants - East Bergholt

61 / 100

There are a good use of photos on this site, though the design and social need looking at.

8. Crown Nursery - Ufford

59 / 100

A solid deign and updated blog help this site enter into our top ten.

9. Cherry Lane - Long Melford

58 / 100

A good clean design and blog content are the major plus points. Better code structure would have scored it higher.

10. Garnetts Garden - Woodbridge

56 / 100

A clear design and lots of content are somewhat let down by no social or responsiveness.
